Billiard Mechanical Chalk Retracting Device; Early 1900's for sale in Monroe, NC

1 of 1
This is circa early 1900's. It was found in many pool halls across the country. It was made to keep the cue chalk available for the player's needs. The device hung from the ceiling, over the table. It would allow the chalk to come down within the player's reach., then go back up out of the way. The rope has been replaced over the years and everything else is original. The counter weight is cast iron. For those of you who have a copy of Mark & Connie Stellinga's Pool & Billiard Collectibles guide, a photo of this hanger is on page 69. Please see photos.
